Lehigh Valley Transgender Renaissance Announces Guest Programming


The team at Lehigh Valley Renaissance Transgender Association, a non-profit educational and social support group for the transgender community in Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey, has announced the programming for its meetings through the end of 2016.

“During each monthly meeting we strive to provide an educational or other component that will stimulate our members and visitors interest ” said Amanda Porter, Vice President of the organization. “Whether they are a guest speaker or a transgender-friendly business, these programs are helpful in terms of educating our members and the general public about transgender issues” she continued.

Upcoming speakers and guest vendors include:

  • August - AJ Schaeffer from the Allentown Women's Center will discuss health services offered to transgender women and men by the AWC.

  • September - Kathy from Lynn's Wig Boutique in Bethlehem will discuss wig selection and care.

  • October - Trish Sheriden will return to show her wide selection of jewelry products.

  • November - Chief Mark Diluzio of the Bethlehem Police Department will attend to discuss transgender-related issues.

  • December – Lehigh Valley Renaissance will hold its annual Holiday Party

Attend a Transgender Support Group Meeting

Are you Transgender? Or, do You Have a Friend or Family Member Who Is Transgender, a Crossdresser or Questioning Their Gender Orientation?

Our Monthly Transgender Gatherings Provide a Safe and Nurturing Place for Members and Guests to Meet, Understand, Accept and learn.

Meetings are Held on the 2nd Saturday of Each Month at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley (in the Church of the Manger Building) Located at 1401 Greenview Drive, Bethlehem, Pa. 18018.

Doors Open At Approximately 7:00 PM With Socializing and Light Snacks followed by announcements A Presentation Or Group Discussion Of A Relevant Topic Followed By Time For Open Discussion Where Attendees Can Share Accomplishments Or Challenges With The Group. That Is Usually Followed By More Social Time. Meetings Typically End around 10:30pm.

You May Dress In Any Way In Which You Are Comfortable. There Are 2 Changing Rooms Available If You Would Like To Change After You Arrive.
